I’m proud to be a second generation locksmith. My father became a locksmith after retiring from the air force. My passion for locksmithing began when I would head to the lock shop after school and hang out with my dad and the crew. By the age of 12 I had gained enough skills and knowledge that I could run the counter by myself while my dad ran a quick call or two.
What is your favorite sport?
College football is my favorite sport to follow. I love watching the Oregon Ducks and feel like college is where athletes show their growth and stand out from others.
What is your biggest work accomplishment?
I felt like working for my parents left me with a lot to prove as a locksmith. I dedicated myself to learning all facets of my trade and industry as a whole. As such I was able to earn designations from industry associations as both a Certified Master Safecracker (CMS) and a Certified Master Locksmith (CML) before I had turned 30. I was very proud to earn them at such a young age. Since then I have become a Certified Automotive Locksmith (CAL) and Certified Professional Safetech (CPS).
Do you have a guilty pleasure?
Binge watching Marvel shows is a guilty pleasure of mine. As a kid, I always enjoyed a good comic book and it’s pretty spectacular to see those pages come to life on the screen.
What do you enjoy most during your time outside of work?
You’re likely to find me with my wife and our four children loading up the RV and heading to a remote corner of the NW to enjoy our version of roughing it. When we aren’t out camping, we love to go to the beach and sit out on the front porch to enjoy the ocean.
