Domonic Jones (6064OCLS)—Locksmith
My experience varies vastly. After graduating from PSU in 2009, I taught early childhood education for about five years. Next, I had the awesome opportunity to grow and learn with another business working in procurement. Unfortunately, that company downsized and that’s what got me thinking of doing something different. In 2017, I took a job working as a locksmith and garage door technician for 3+ years. After that learning experience and hitting my glass ceiling, I decided I needed a new opportunity if I was to stay in this industry. Luckily, A-MAX was around.
What brought you to A-MAX?
I came to Amax, because the grass is really greener on the other side. They truly treat their employees as valued members and they allow for me to expand my skills set.
What is the best part of locksmithing?
The best part of locksmithing for me is the variety of ways I save people all over by fixing their problems.
If you have a super power, what would it be?
It would be the ability to travel effortlessly through time and space.
What is one misconception that people have about your job?
Many people think all we do is unlock houses and cars. Haha. I tell them that’s about 1-5% of the work
